A friend was sitting in her Doctor’s office, flipping through an old edition of Notebook magazine, when she happened across an article she thought I might like.
Luckily for me, she took a quick photo of it and emailed it to me. And I’m so pleased that she did.
I love the romanticism of such thoughtful acronyms being the prelude to such a desired letter. How romantic!!
I wonder, would the modern equivalent of this be to write a letter on stationery such as the ‘Kisses, darling’ note card?
That said, the main thing is that love letters are still written.
Receiving a phone call or text declaring love is always divine, however there is nothing like re-reading a love letter many years after it was first received, to make you feel well and truly loved and adored.
